In 2019, PEDC partnered with local government, education, healthcare, and business organizations to create a community and economic development strategy aimed at making Pearland more prosperous and vibrant. The initial phase led to successful outcomes, and in 2024, the plan was updated to reflect the community's evolution since its adoption in 2020.

At its core, the Pearland Prosperity framework is one Community Goal that broadly identifies the desired outcomes of Pearland’s holistic economic development effort.

Through eleven, high-level Key Initiatives the Plan provides organizational clarity and readily communicates the issues that Pearland is seeking to address through collective action to a wide variety of audiences.
