PEDC can advise and connect businesses with Workforce Solutions and the Department of Labor to launch their own apprenticeship programs. Apprenticeship programs offer structured, hands-on learning with wage reimbursement of up to 75% for qualified positions, ensuring a steady pipeline of skilled workers. 

Comparable to a paid internship, allowing businesses to assess new hires before offering permanent positions. Workforce Solutions covers 100% of wages for up to 10 weeks while acting as the employer of record.

The Lone Star Workforce of the Future Fund (LSWF) is a program to increase the supply of qualified workers for entry-level to mid-level jobs in high-demand occupations.

Provide matching funds to support workforce development in key industries, ensuring businesses have access to workers with specialized skills.

TXWORKS employers recruit and prepare the next generation of talent, identifying key career competencies and workforce skills to be developed through an internship experience. Participation in TXWORKS provides employers the opportunity to increase company visibility and expand their talent pipelines while benefiting from state-funded partial wage reimbursement.
