With nearly 350,000 students enrolled in over 60 colleges and universities, the Houston region is a powerhouse for higher education—and Pearland is right at the heart of it. The University of Houston-Clear Lake at Pearland provides nationally accredited degree programs in education, criminology, and more, including its state-of-the-art Health Sciences and Classroom Building, which opened in 2019. Pearland is also served by Alvin College, San Jacinto College, and Houston City College, all within a 20-30 minute driving distance, offering career-focused pathways and technical training to equip graduates for the workforce.

Pearland students thrive in top-rated schools within Pearland ISD and Alvin ISD, both Texas Education Agency-accredited districts. 

Pearland ISD serves over 21,000 students across 23 campuses, consistently outperforming state averages in testing and earning national recognition in academics, fine arts, and athletics. This district also has an extensive Career and Technical Education (CTE) program that makes connections with the business community. 

Alvin ISD, the largest district in Brazoria County and rapidly growing, serves 29,000 students across 30 campuses, preparing them with a technology-integrated curriculum and specialized programs. 

Additional small areas of Pearland are served by Houston ISD, Fort Bend ISD, Pasadena ISD, and Clear Creek ISD.
