Small Business & Entrepreneurs

Small businesses are the backbone of Pearland’s economy, making up 82% of local businesses. PEDC is committed to supporting their growth through a range of local, state, and regional resources. Additionally, our BizConnect program actively engages with local businesses, offering hands-on support and strategic guidance to create a stable business environment and foster long-term success.

Pearland Innovation Hub

Pearland Innovation Hub (PIH) connects entrepreneurs and small businesses with the resources they need to grow and succeed. Through project based technical assistance, networking events, grants database, continued learning, business plan competitions and student programs, the PIH fosters ideation, connection and entrepreneurship culture in Pearland.

This initiative stems from the Pearland Prosperity Community Strategic Plan and a Market Assessment & Business Plan that identified opportunities to strengthen local entrepreneurship. Initially operated by PEDC, the Hub will transition into a nonprofit with ongoing PEDC support.
