Old Town

Pearland’s Old Town isn’t just where the city began—it’s where the future is taking shape. A historic district with momentum, this area is undergoing a massive transformation as part of the Old Town Revitalization Plan into a robust, walkable hub of homes, businesses, and energy.

Centered at the intersection of FM 518/Broadway Street and SH 35/Main Street, Old Townsite’s boundaries extend from Orange Street to the north to Walnut Street to the south, and from Galveston Street on the east to Austin Avenue on the west.

Old Town Revitalization Study

In 2024, the City of Pearland, funded by PEDC, launched the Old Town Revitalization Plan study, a key initiative of the Pearland Prosperity Plan. This effort focuses on transforming Pearland’s historic heart—originally platted in 1894—into a vibrant, connected, and economically thriving district.

The transformative plan was adopted by the City in 2025 and implementation is in progress to revitalize this historic part of our community.
